Exploring Material Design

Google's Material Design is gaining quite a lot of popularity and many websites are getting revamped with a new look and feel. For example, Gmail's latest user interface is using Material Design which is now looking much smoother and neater.
It is the new way of communication between users and interfaces. Every-time a user swipes or taps on a screen, he is actually interacting with a separate digital object. A new language has been created for components, to interact amongst each other! Each object is made up of pixels and adjusts itself with the respective size of screen.

I was curious to know more about how Material design is introducing the idea of using a new visual language.

So to explore its features, I created a simple Employee Form with Angular Material. You can view my application, as it is deployed on Firebase and GitHub with the links:

Here is a small demo of the form I created:

Initially before using any component, it is necessary to know about the required modules, the way a component is rendered and how data can be embedded into it. I have used Snack-bar, Progress Spinner, Expansion Panel Component etc. There are many more interesting components available which I will be adding to my application, as I keep learning more about them. I think Material design is easy to understand due to it's proper documentation on correct usage.
